Little Free Library, 2013
In collaboration with Emeil Alvarez
Pixelio, created in collaboration with Emeil Alvarez, was an entry for the Little Free Library Design Competition initiated by the Little Free Library in conjunction with the Winnipeg Public Library, as part of Winnipeg's 2013 Culture Days. Inspired by pixels, Pixelio is composed of stacked boxes that function as shelves in which books can be stored. Pixelio is designed to expand book access for everyone. Situated in public locations such as bus stops or plazas, the books stored in Pixelio can be borrowed, returned, or replaced at any time. Pixelio also functions as furniture for passersby.
